Canyon Demir Kapija is an amazing limestone climbing destination located near the small town of Demir Kapija. The area hosts over a duzen crags with hundreds of routes that range in grade from 4a to 8a (French system comon used here). The climbing style is primarily single pitch sport yet there are numerous opportunities for multi-pitch and traditional lines. The high season is spring summer and fall yet you can climb on the north faces during the winter when the wether is nice. The steep and deep canyon walls will always offer some shade to be found durring the hot summer months.

Directions to Canyon Demir Kapija parking area. From the town of Demir Kapija take the old highway (not A1) west staying on the north side of the Vardar River. The parking is located between the two highway tunnles that berrow through the mountain. Climbing sectors are located both up streem and down streem of the parking lot.
